Reporting to the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer and working with the Ethics & Compliance Areas of Expertise and partners across the Group, you will:

  • Set the strategy, priorities and operating model for Ethics & Compliance Assurance, Governance and Reporting, including the Group learning and communications strategy, with a clear focus on continuous improvement.
  • Design, plan and execute an integrated second-line ethics and compliance assurance programme and framework, providing appropriate coverage of Material Risk Profiles in collaboration with Group Risk & Insurance and Group Internal Audit.
  • Lead the ethics and compliance approach to Group Bowtie design, Critical Controls monitoring measures, control documentation and management, working with the Ethics & Compliance Areas of Expertise and Group Internal Controls.
  • Develop risk-based monitoring and analytics approaches, and work with Enterprise Risk & Insurance to evaluate, monitor and report relevant Principal Risks and support Mandatory Risk Governance Forums.
  • Design and implement governance architecture for the ethics and compliance elements of the Enterprise Compliance Standard and contributions to the Code of Conduct.
  • Deliver timely, evidence-based reporting and insight for the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, Ethics & Compliance leadership, Group Ethics & Compliance Committee, Executive Committee, Audit and Risk Committee and other governance forums, identifying trends, root causes and emerging risks.
  • Build and lead a diverse global team, and shape risk-based, persona-led ethics and compliance learning and communications that strengthen first-line capability, support behaviour change and measure programme effectiveness beyond activity volumes and completion rates.
  • Govern ethics and compliance data, reporting and enabling systems with process owners and Information Systems & Technology, promoting appropriate use of automation, analytics and approved artificial intelligence, and driving effective use of enterprise assurance tools including Signavio and Workiva.
